ABOUT GEOSENSE

From custom silicon to cloud —
data-driven stewardship for every inch of land

Founded in 2018, GeoSense (Ningxia GeoSense Technology Co., Ltd.) is a full-stack agricultural-technology company that builds its entire stack in-house — from a self-developed sensor chip to IoT gateways, a cloud platform, and agronomic decision models. We began with precision viticulture and are extending into broadacre precision agriculture and ecological conservation.

Why we started

"Imported weather stations cost well over 100,000 yuan, yet their data acquisition was still surprisingly primitive. With an engineering background, I couldn't accept that — so I built my own."

Joe HU holds a bachelor's in GIS from Tongji University (his thesis already merged GIS with vineyard management), a master's in Viticulture & Oenology from the University of Adelaide, and a doctorate in engineering from China Agricultural University. This rare combination — geographic information, wine science, and hardware engineering — is why GeoSense understands both the land and the technology, and can bring real engineering capability to the field.

There is no shortage of agricultural-IoT companies in China, but very few build from the chip level up. We chose the heavier — and more solid — path:
